How to style a trench coat

November 27, 2018

Earrings: Madewell
Sweater: Express
Coat: Chicwish c/o
Bag: Gucci
Jeans: Express

Trench coats to me are an item that will always be in style. I loved styling this coat as soon as I got it in the mail the other day. I love shopping on Chicwish because their coats have fun details like the flare on the bottom hem of mine. I am a neutral lover so my first thought for styling this trench was a black sweater to contrast the baby blue vibes, skinny jeans and my favorite nude booties that are actually 40% off right now.

Other ways you could style this are:

1- Dress, heels + trench (perfect for a holiday party!)
2- graphic tee + boyfriend jeans + trench
3- sweater + loafers (good for travel!)
4- tee + hat + dress pants + trench

The "it" coat for the holidays

November 8, 2018

Coat: Chicwish c/o
Shirt: H&M
Earrings: Madewell
Bag: Gucci
Belt: Macy's

No matter who you are, this coat would look good on you. I tend to wear a lot of neutrals so I chose the pink one for a little pop for all of my Fall and holiday outfits. It is seriously so cozy and be prepared for people to ask to pet you if you do get one (this happened to me at breakfast the other day). I get all of my coats from Chicwish and they never disappoint. Our downstairs hallway closet is filled of Chicwish coats. I have linked some of my current favorites from them below!

I'm so excited because tonight I'm hosting an event with Warby Parker. We are going to be having beer, wine, treats by the Little Donut Shop, a gift with purchase and raffling off two $95 gift cards! It is from 7-9pm in the Short North, I hope to see you there! xx

My Favorite Fall Colors

November 7, 2018

Outfit details:

Sweater: Favlux High Neck Cable Knit Sweater c/o Stage, I love this one too!
Boots: G by Guess Gimmy Boots c/o Stage, shop similar here
Jeans: Levi's Classic Mid Rise Skinny c/o Stage, shop similar here
Earrings: Lulu's c/o, shop similar here

Despite the large amount of Christmas decor going up all over Instagram, it is not quite Winter yet! I am still 100% in Fall mode over here and I would be happy if it never left. Fall is not only my favorite season because of the weather but also because of the colors! As you could probably tell by any of my social channels, I am quite a neutral girl so maroons, black and tans scream Nicole Fall vibes.

For this fall outfit I chose this super comfy cozy sweater that I found at Stage. The cable knit detail is a huge fall trend right now! I also love that it was bigger (even in a size small) and I tucked the front for a little extra details. I'm obsessed with anything Levi's so I made sure to grab a pair of those too in black! These are super flattering and true to size. I want another pair asap!

What are you favorite booties right now? As soon as I opened these Guess ones I'm wearing I was all heart eyes. It's so funny too because they are actually called Gimmy boots and that's what I said when I opened the package haha. I have worn them several times and I just got them last week. For having such a high heel they are surprisingly SO comfortable. And the best part is, even though they have laces they have a zipper so you never have to untie them!

I love to check out Stage for all of my Fall needs and you should too! Remember it's not Winter yet so treat yourself to some new booties or a cute sweater!

Thank you so much to Stage for sponsoring today's post!

5 Hairstyles to do when you're in between washes

November 5, 2018

I have teamed up with one of my favorite haircare brands Hair La Vie to show you guys 5 super easy hairstyles you can do when you're in between washes! I love that since I've been using Hair La Vie products I don't have to wash my hair everyday. They not only smell good but they use all natural ingredients to help cleanse your scalp which lets you not have to wash it everyday! They all took me under 2 minutes so I promise anyone can do them!

Let me show you :)

1. LOW PONY - I achieved this look by first putting a dime size amount of the Hair La Vie serum on my ends to create a more polished, detailed look. It goes on light, you don't need a bunch and it helps tame frizz! I always tease the top a little and once I have my hair wrapped in the pony and pull it to make it look bigger.

You can shop the serum I used here: Shop serum

2. HALF UP HALF DOWN- I created this look by teasing the top and pulling my desired amount I wanted to put half of my hair up. I pulled it again to create a messy, bigger look!

3. HALF UP HALF DOWN BUN- This is so easy! Once you have your hair half up half down, I teased my hair and grabbed a couple bobby pins. I made a small bun and secured the hair with a few bobby pins. This is a cute fun look!

4. High Pony- Throwing it back to my cheerleader days. To achieve this look I just flip my head over and grab all my hair, put it on top of my head and secure it with a black ponytail. I get a teasing comb and tease away to make it look bigger!

5. Top Knot- otherwise known as the Bun! I wear my hair like this at least 3 days out of the week. Once I have my hair in a ponytail I grab all of it, make a circle with my hair and pull it out to give it the loose look! After I shampoo my hair I love using the Hair La Vie Leave-in Conditioner Spray and after a couple days the top knot is the perfect hairstyle!

I love Hair La Vie products because they make my hair smell good, look good and they are healthy. I actually keep the serum in my purse to help any frizz I have during the day. I hope this post was helpful, make sure to tag me if you do any of these hairstyles!

Thank you so much to Hair La Vie for sponsoring today's post!
