You only need to know two words when thinking about buying pre-owned luxury: STORE 5a. What is STORE 5a you ask? Let me tell ya. Directed by Jesse Johnson, STORE 5a is known for not only providing pre-owned luxury items but providing an experience. They provide an easy and simple way for their customers to buy and sell luxury items while giving them an amazing experience.

A clean, chic environment with super helpful staff, STORE 5a has became so popular they have two locations- one in the Short North and one at Easton Town Center. The latest Chanel boy bags, Hermes scarves, Rolex watches, Cartier love rings, these are just a few mentionable items STORE 5a carries currently.

I personally flock to their handbags first. There are only a few things I will truly invest in and one of them is handbags. This pre-owned Chanel tote grabbed my attention the second I walked in the store. From brands like Gucci to Louis Vuitton to Prada, they have something for everyone.

They also have AMAZING jewelry! This John Hardy cuff is a piece you won't see anywhere else. And what about this David Yurman buckle bracelet? Talk about the perfect everyday piece. It's hard to stand out these days but buying pre-owned pieces that no one else owns is the way to go.

STORE 5a, like I said, is located in the Short North. If you have never been to Columbus Ohio, let me let you in on a little secret. One of our top gems is called the Short North Arts District. The Short North is our trendy, culture-rich area centered on North High Street. Known as the heart and soul of Columbus the Short North is the perfect place for visitors to attend fun events, shop streetwear, enjoy vibrant cocktails and of course, check out the amazing art and nightlife.

To give you a few highlights, let's start with one thing that will bring anyone to the Short North no matter what your interests are.....food and drinks! Here is a short list of some of my favorites that anyone could find something at. ** These are not all of the restaurants **

Coffee- One Line Coffee - such a cute quaint spot with WiFi perfect for work or meeting a friend for a cappuccino, Mission Coffee Co.

Breakfast & Brunch- Hubbard Grille (pictured above), Forno- O M G Forno is my favorite!! Their french toast and egg sandwich are to die for. Plus they have $4 mimosas and they are YUMMY. Bodega, Northstar (amazing granola and breakfast sandwich as well), Zest (smoothie bowls, toast and juices), The Lox Bagel Shop (just opened recently and their bagels are amazing!

Lunch/ Dinner- Native (as pictured above) great açaí bowls!, Brassica, Condados (tacos and yummy queso), Mikey's Late Night Slice, Local Cantina, Marcella's (Italian), Union, Black Point

Local wine, beer, and spirits- Short North Brewdog, North High Brewing, Seventh Son Brewing Co.

Whether you are walking your dog, enjoying the weather or grabbing a bite to eat with one of your girlfriends, this is the perfect time for you to pop into STORE 5a

I recently went on a little shopping trip there and tried on some of my favorite pieces. This Chanel curblink belt I'm wearing here is a KNOCKOUT. These fun black onyx earrings were the perfect item  to pair with it!

The pieces they offer are pre-owned but are in pristine condition. I just purchased Tom Ford sunglasses and they look brand new but I got them for a discounted price, win-win

Other Shopping spots: Anthropologie, Rowe Boutique, FOUNT, Homage, Jolie, VAMP

One of the biggest events the Short North offers is called the Gallery Hop. It takes places on the first Saturday of every month! This is one of Columbus' legendary traditions. They have new gallery exhibits', food, drinks, street performers, etc. It is Columbus' favorite night of the month to celebrate art. Such a good time to have date night or hang with friends as a lot of the bars and stores stay open later!

I am so grateful that STORE 5a let me come in and pick out a few items to style for this shoot! No matter what I'm doing down in the Short North I always make time to pop in to see their new arrivals every week. Jesse Johnson, director of STORE 5a says, "Every piece has a story. What will yours be?" Go in there and find out! I can't wait to hear! ** You can get $25 off your first purchase with code NICOLE25. **

Thank you so much to STORE 5a for sponsoring today's post!

Ohio gets a bad rap for being cold and rainy a lot. What most people don't realize is that there are tons of cute indoor locations to hang out, take pictures, work at, etc. One of them I like a lot is NORTH MARKET. Located in the Short North they not only have tons of delicious food but it's a perfect place to meet a friend for coffee or take pictures. This is where I shot this outfit above from Chicwish

I love this V-Neck shirt in pink! I'm a jeans girl so normally that's what I would pair it with but I also got these fun pants from Chicwish! I think it's so cute they only have pleats on one side and they are called "Mood Swings Wide Leg Pants." How perfect.

I have a "want" list from Chicwish right now and I linked a few of my favorites below! I love how they always have sales going on. Here are some more of my favorite inside locations in Columbus!

I have lived in Columbus for over 10 years and have been blogging for almost 4 years. I shoot photos once a week so I am pretty educated in what locations are the cutest when it is rainy outside. All of these have different quirks to them but I wanted to share some of my faves. Obviously I love all of the above but others that are awesome too include:

- FLOWERS AND BREAD (ex. here
- JUNIPER (ex. here)
- LINCOLN SOCIAL
- HILTON DOWNTOWN (ex. here)

Everyday Outfit

April 14, 2019

Tank: Chicwish c/o
Sandals: Marc Fisher c/o
Bag: GiGi New York c/o, similar here
Earrings: Nordstrom

Happy Sunday! This outfit is what I like to call the perfect everyday outfit. All of the pieces I'm wearing are things that would be perfect for your closet all year round. I love this black tank from Chicwish. I love the knit fabric that provides flexibility around your waist so it makes you look smaller. I think it's so cute paired with these high waisted jeans but would also be so cute paired with a skirt or some boyfriend shorts! Chicwish has tons of cute tops right now you could wear multiple ways. I will link them below for you!

I recently got these leopard espadrilles and think they are so fun! Chunky espadrilles are such a hot trend for Spring right now! You can always use my code LTD993 for 20% off your Marc Fisher order!

How to Balance Work + Life

March 21, 2019

Top: Chicwish, similar here
Shoes: Calvin Klein
Coat: Boohoo - not available in gray anymore but camel + black are!
Earrings: Green Velvet Boutique

Hey babes! This topic is one I get asked about a lot, especially considering I do not blog full time. But before we get into that, let's chat about my outfit. I just got this fun velvet top, similar here from Chicwish and it was pretty chilly the day we shot it so I paired it with a cute trench coat. Chicwish has so many cute things right now, here are my favorites!

MUST HAVES FROM CHICWISH RIGHT NOW

this shirt dress in bronze or blue. OMG so so cute for Spring!

this high low V Neck top, would look so cute with jeans, flare jeans or shorts for Spring

these wide leg pants in Peach! How cute with wedges or flat sandals and a sleeveless top

this floral crop top paired with a little skirt or high waisted jeans

these wide leg pants in black. Sexy, slimming and chic!

How do I balance work and life? Sometimes I ask myself this too. I am a part time blogger (even though I work on it everyday) and a part time restaurant manager, bartender and sometimes server. I typically work nights and live 30 minutes away from my job so work-life balance is very important to me. The time came for me to get my sh*t together when Justin told me I was on my phone too much (for the 100th time!). As a blogger, I do need to be on my phone a lot but I needed to find some balance. Here are some tips that helped me:

- download a productivity app! This will let you plan your day with exact time restraints so you stay on track.

- know when you work best. For me this is typically nights!

- schedule social media time (ex. on the days I work nights I post during the day, on the days I have off I try to post during the day so I can have nights off with Justin)

- have a dedicated "work space." For example, I am not going to be working in bed or on the couch because that usually makes me tired.

- schedule one Admin day per week. This is my plan stuff out day. I typically do this on Sundays. I get my planner and sit down and organize my time for the week!

- make time to unplug

- work smarter. When I am doing emails/ blog posts, I put my phone in a different room. It's so easy to get distracted by checking instagram stories, responding to texts, etc.

These are a few little things that have helped me recently. I hope they help you also! We are going to walk the dogs and grab Chipotle right now. Enjoy your night!

Wow! It is frigid today! I hope you are staying warm! I tagged along with my mom to Memphis because she is doing some work here. She's making me do my first Orange Theory class tomorrow so I'm excited for that!

I love a good warm AND chic outfit so I wanted to share this with you guys. I received this sweater from Chicwish and OMG it is so warm and cuteee.
