How to Balance Work + Life

Shoes: Calvin Klein
Coat: Boohoo - not available in gray anymore but camel + black are!
Earrings: Green Velvet Boutique

Hey babes! This topic is one I get asked about a lot, especially considering I do not blog full time. But before we get into that, let's chat about my outfit. I just got this fun velvet top, similar here from Chicwish and it was pretty chilly the day we shot it so I paired it with a cute trench coat. Chicwish has so many cute things right now, here are my favorites!

this shirt dress in bronze or blue. OMG so so cute for Spring!

this high low V Neck top, would look so cute with jeans, flare jeans or shorts for Spring

these wide leg pants in Peach! How cute with wedges or flat sandals and a sleeveless top

this floral crop top paired with a little skirt or high waisted jeans

these wide leg pants in black. Sexy, slimming and chic!

How do I balance work and life? Sometimes I ask myself this too. I am a part time blogger (even though I work on it everyday) and a part time restaurant manager, bartender and sometimes server. I typically work nights and live 30 minutes away from my job so work-life balance is very important to me. The time came for me to get my sh*t together when Justin told me I was on my phone too much (for the 100th time!). As a blogger, I do need to be on my phone a lot but I needed to find some balance. Here are some tips that helped me:

- download a productivity app! This will let you plan your day with exact time restraints so you stay on track.

- know when you work best. For me this is typically nights!

- schedule social media time (ex. on the days I work nights I post during the day, on the days I have off I try to post during the day so I can have nights off with Justin)

- have a dedicated "work space." For example, I am not going to be working in bed or on the couch because that usually makes me tired.

- schedule one Admin day per week. This is my plan stuff out day. I typically do this on Sundays. I get my planner and sit down and organize my time for the week!

- make time to unplug

- work smarter. When I am doing emails/ blog posts, I put my phone in a different room. It's so easy to get distracted by checking instagram stories, responding to texts, etc.

These are a few little things that have helped me recently. I hope they help you also! We are going to walk the dogs and grab Chipotle right now. Enjoy your night!

Why you should buy Pre-Owned

February 22, 2019

If you have followed me for awhile you would know my weakness is a designer handbag. I only have a couple but am obsessed with them. For awhile I thought that I HAD to have it brand new and be the only owner. I have now completely changed my mind. I was introduced to STORE 5a, a unique store that sells pre-owned handbags, jewelry and watches. This Saint Laurent bag is from them and OMG she was a beauty. It was in mint condition and after I got it , I'm mad at myself for not buying pre-owned previously.

About STORE 5a

STORE 5a is located in the heart of Columbus Ohio and currently has two locations, one in the Short North and one at Easton Market. STORE 5a prides itself on giving jewelry, handbags and watches a second life. They have an expert team that authenticate, refurbish and appraise each piece they receive. You can shop confidently knowing each piece is authentic. I love shopping here because they have unique pieces others don't, a wide variety to choose from and you save a ton of money!

Selling vs. Consignment

STORE 5a is NOT a consignment shop. STORE 5a is a simple and safe way to buy luxury items. If you have luxury items to sell, you can do it here with true experts of the trade. They provide a fixed price for your item unlike consignment shops. STORE 5a will buy your item outright and you will receive a check, just like that. No beating around the bush.

STORE 5a has a in-house shop with authenticates all of the items they receive. They are apart of the Diamond Cellar so you can rest assured knowing they have 70 years of experience.

Jeans: Mott & Bow c/o

With the presence of designer dupes and counterfeit goods ever growing, it is the utmost importance that STORE 5a reassures all of their items are 100% authentic. They have a zero policy for counterfeit pieces. STORE 5a is not an authorized retailer for any designer brand however they carry brands such as Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Rolex and Cartier.

STORE 5a stands out by buying items outright. They look for handbags that are in excellent condition with a dust bag, box and authenticity cards when possible. They strive to carry the most popular and up to date pieces for their customers and I cannot wait to continue to shop with them.

“At STORE 5a, luxury is an experience, celebrated and remembered through our pieces. We connect with our customer’s by making their experience simple, educational, and engaging.”

Jeans: Mott & Bow c/o
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Booties: Marc Fisher c/o use code LTD993 for 20% off!

I am all about a cozy big sweater and some cute skinny's with some booties for an everyday #ootd. This sweater from Chicwish is the ultimate hand knit chunky sweater for lunch dates, shopping trips or a date night! I love the deep V neck and the huge bell sleeves (unless you're getting mexican for lunch because they would not work well with chips and salsa). Chicwish has some super cute sweaters right now and I'm going to link all of them below for you!

I just recently joined the #styleMarcSquad and was gifted these super cute western booties. I think they look great with this outfit and would any cute top and jeans! How do you feel about the western trend?

Some of the top trends I'm seeing right now for NYFW are: neon, neutrals (YESSSSS), fishnets, color blocking, hot magenta and zebra print. I'm not making it to NYFW this season because honestly, we had a supppppper cold winter as did most of you and I just couldn't imagine being cold more lol. I love being able to watch the shows and see the things people are doing in the comfort of my own home, plus I saved money!

15 Destress Tips + Tricks

January 21, 2019

Before we get into my tips, I want to share with you babes this gorgeous velvet dress. I'll be completely honest when I got it out of the package I wasn't sure it was going to work. It felt amazing, I just wasn't sure I could pull it off or how to wear it. But I LOVE it! I love the asymmetrical vibe to it and how it is classy and sexy. I think it's a great party dress and the quality is amazing. You can get it now from Chicwish along with some other great picks linked down below!

♡ 15 Ways to Destress ♡

1- Meditate/Pray. Justin swears by the Headspace app.

2- Eat healthy foods. Some foods that are known to reduce stress are: blueberries, avocado, nuts, seeds and oranges! I'm obsessed with blueberry anything!

3- Journal. I used to journal every single day and have fallen off the wagon but I am going to start again!

4- Take a walk.

5- Give. Do something for someone else.

6- Puppy love. My dogs always calm me down and make me feel better. If you don't have one, go to a local shelter and ask to play with one!

7- Plan a trip. Even just a quick weekend getaway in the next city.

8- Go for a scenic drive. Justin and I love doing this.

9- Laugh. Think about a moment you were streaming in tears from laughter.

10- Light a candle. I'm so obsessed with my Bath and Body Works candles, I have a special cabinet for them.

11- Unplug and recharge. Take a technology break and turn off your phone, laptop, etc.

12- Take a nap.

13- Get organized. Is there anything worse than losing something? This stresses me to the MAX. My mom has been helping me slowly but surely organize our house and I could not be more grateful. Home Goods and TJ Maxx are great places to find cute bins to organize.

14- Exercise. Find something you truly love doing.

15- Listen to your favorite song. I know this sounds cliche but when I hear my song, it's on. I'm obsessed with 7 rings right now from Ariana Grande and also any throwback like Mariah Carey.
