My Favorite Hair Products
February 5, 2020
What's up babes! Happy hump day! It is Wednesday right? #mombrain. Anyways, I had a few requests to show what are my favorite hair products and then when I showed I bought this waver in my Amazon haul last week you all wanted to see how it works! If you want more details on that, go check out my stories! My instagram is linked HERE. But if you want to know what I use let me tell ya! These are also in order the way I use them!
Shampoo & Conditioner // I am currently using Raw Sugar Living Moisture Smoothie. They are paraben and sulfate free and safe for colored hair. Plus the coconut smell is super yummy. I wash my hair every 2-4 days depending on how oily it looks. Extensions have helped my hair a ton (I used to have to wash it every day!)
Miracle Leave In // So I have been using this for YEARS. I am obsessed with It's a 10 and I think their products are great. After I get out of the shower I rub about a dime, sometimes quarter size through my hair. It eliminates tangles, adds shines, controls frizz, literally everything. This is a MUST HAVE.
Hair Brush // I have also been using this for years. The wet brush is freaking amazing. I use it on my wet and dry hair!
Hair Dryer // I use the T3 hair dryer. I know it's pricey but it seems to dry my hair faster and obviously I love that it's white and chic looking! I have seen these at Costco for A LOT cheaper than online btw.
Dry Shampoo // Love this one. I like that they have different hair colors (blonde, brunette, red, etc.). I get the divine dark! I actually spray it in my CLEAN hair for volume. They obviously use it when it's dirty too, lol.
Heat Protectants // I used this one in my hair tutorial today. It works great and I love the smell. But I also wanted to share this one that I use! It's important to use a heat protectant to prevent damage when using hot tools on your hair.
Hair Waver // With over 990 reviews, this waver is amazing. Such a fun cute way to switch up your normal hairstyle! Loveeee it.
Below is a photo from today after I used the waver! I still need to practice more but overall, I think it's cute! DM me if you have any questions on anything I posted! XO

5 Hairstyles to do when you're in between washes
November 5, 2018
I have teamed up with one of my favorite haircare brands Hair La Vie to show you guys 5 super easy hairstyles you can do when you're in between washes! I love that since I've been using Hair La Vie products I don't have to wash my hair everyday. They not only smell good but they use all natural ingredients to help cleanse your scalp which lets you not have to wash it everyday! They all took me under 2 minutes so I promise anyone can do them!
Let me show you :)
1. LOW PONY - I achieved this look by first putting a dime size amount of the Hair La Vie serum on my ends to create a more polished, detailed look. It goes on light, you don't need a bunch and it helps tame frizz! I always tease the top a little and once I have my hair wrapped in the pony and pull it to make it look bigger.
You can shop the serum I used here: Shop serum
2. HALF UP HALF DOWN- I created this look by teasing the top and pulling my desired amount I wanted to put half of my hair up. I pulled it again to create a messy, bigger look!
3. HALF UP HALF DOWN BUN- This is so easy! Once you have your hair half up half down, I teased my hair and grabbed a couple bobby pins. I made a small bun and secured the hair with a few bobby pins. This is a cute fun look!
4. High Pony- Throwing it back to my cheerleader days. To achieve this look I just flip my head over and grab all my hair, put it on top of my head and secure it with a black ponytail. I get a teasing comb and tease away to make it look bigger!
5. Top Knot- otherwise known as the Bun! I wear my hair like this at least 3 days out of the week. Once I have my hair in a ponytail I grab all of it, make a circle with my hair and pull it out to give it the loose look! After I shampoo my hair I love using the Hair La Vie Leave-in Conditioner Spray and after a couple days the top knot is the perfect hairstyle!
I love Hair La Vie products because they make my hair smell good, look good and they are healthy. I actually keep the serum in my purse to help any frizz I have during the day. I hope this post was helpful, make sure to tag me if you do any of these hairstyles!
Thank you so much to Hair La Vie for sponsoring today's post!

How to Connect with Bloggers
January 15, 2018
If you've been on Instagram lately, you'll see that best friend pics and girls collaborating with other girls are killing it right now. I know I used to be extremely introverted and I still am a little but I thought it would be fun to share with you guys how to connect with other bloggers.
When I first started blogging a little over two years ago I was so envious when I would see blogger meet ups and bloggers hanging out with other bloggers. I always wondered how do they all know each other? I mean Columbus isn't huge but it isn't small.
Here are some tips that I think will help you as they helped me:
- Follow other bloggers that have the similar niche as you & engage with them (show them love whether it's through their posts or stories or even share one of their blog posts!)
- Reach out to bloggers in your area and ask about getting coffee/lunch
- Promote other bloggers (example: follow Friday on Instagram stories is where you encourage your readers to follow other accounts)
- Plan meet ups/events, you can collaborate with one of your favorite stores and invite tons of bloggers in your area. This is a great way to connect!
- Join Facebook groups (a couple I am in are: Reward Style Bloggers, The Savvy Social Community and I'm So Blogging This!)
- Attend a blogger conference (I want to go to Create and Cultivate in LA so bad!)
- Attend New York Fashion Week (this could be an entire post on it's own but ANYONE can go, no matter how big or small you are on social media)
- Search your locations hashtag (for example: your area code + blogger, #614blogger is mine)
- Email them! (this seems so simple but anytime I receive an email from another blogger or reader I respond no matter what)
- Offer to give more than you take. For example, I was listening to a podcast a couple days ago and the girl being interviewed said she collaborates with her friends frequently. She says she offers to help them on Instagram because she is killing it on there (she has 19 million followers, not kidding) and they will offer to help her with another platform that maybe she isn't as popular on.
I honestly have met so many girls in Columbus since I started blogging through all of these tips and I know they will help you too! PS- speaking of these tips, I am going to use one now :)
* Shoutout to Olivia Zwayer from @alifetoliv, she planned this shoot, take pictures and she's been one of the coolest girls I've met in Cbus!
* Shoutout to Lindsay Marie from @lindsayxxmarie, we got ready at her house all day and she is a YouTube superstar! You guys have to go check her out.
* Last but MOST DEFINITELY not least, shoutout to this babe @madddietorrres for killing it with our hair! She is so talented and if you are in the Columbus area, you need to book your next hair appointment with her.

Charles Penzone x Alterna Haircare Event
October 2, 2017
Hi babes! I recently went to such a fun event at Charles Penzone with Alterna Haircare and I wanted to tell you all about it! When I walked in, I was greeted with a super nice goody bag from Alterna Haircare! You guys know I'm obsessed with anything hair related so I was really excited about this! Next stop....champagne fountain! This event was in the evening so it was a perfect way to wind down from the busy day I had!
I was so happy when I saw my friend Steph from the @bohemiancrown. They had an awesome DJ going and delicious sweets to snack on. And a cute photo booth area with a bunch of props! I definitely had to take a picture there!
Alterna Haircare had 40% off all of their hair products, so you know I had to check those out! The Alterna Bamboo uplifting hairspray is my favorite! It gives you so much volume at the root of your hair!
A few stylists were doing different hairstyles for free for anyone who wanted to try. I was so excited to get my hair done and Jordan was so sweet to me! She is a Senior Director at Charles Penzone. She put the cutest braid in my hair and made in look amazing in under ten minutes! You guys should definitely check her out! Her instagram is @jordanatcharlespenzone.
Shoes: Karl Lagerfeld
One of my favorite things about being a blogger is going to events and meeting people, etc. and this was seriously so fun! Thank you so much to Charles Penzone & Alterna Haircare for having me! Be sure to check them both out on Instagram at @alternahaircare and @charlespenzonesalons!

Hair Extensions
July 10, 2017
I have always wanted longer, thicker hair. Ever since 8th grade I swear to you my hair has been the same length. It wasn't until college that I discovered hair extensions. I have had a few different kinds but none of them are like my new ones from Luxy Hair. They are 100% real remy human hair and they are the softest. I am wearing the 220g Classic Collection Extensions in Chocolate Brown. There are three different kinds you can get: fine (120g), medium (160g) and thick (220g).
When you receive them they come in a security sealed cute pink recyclable box that you can keep your Luxies in. The lower part has a compartment that has a tester piece of hair in it that you can use to see if it is a good match for your hair. You receive 9 individual pieces and they are all different sized wefts to fit your head. I typically wear 4 pieces.
If you have any questions at all, your Luxies will come will tons of information or you can always look here.
Thank you to Luxy Hair for sponsoring today's post.
