Happy Wednesday babes! How cute is this blush top + denim? It's pretty much my go to outfit. I've been blogging for a year and a half now and one question I get asked a lot is tips on blogging. I want to start out by saying I am NO expert but I wish I had known some of these things when I first started. So here we go:

.) Figure out what you want your blog to be about and focus on that. Do exactly what you want and make your blog how you want it. Looking to others for inspiration is great but ultimately it's YOUR blog and you want people to want to read it for a reason.
.) Create good content. Once you start posting, you'll see which posts do good for you and which photos flow well together. Anything aesthetically pleasing is always good!
.) Organize your posts. I WISH someone would have told me this when I started. The entire time I've had my blog I have worked part time (4 days a week). When I first started, I would just post whenever I felt like. Your followers/friends want to know when you are posting and they look forward to it. So now I do my blog posts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and have certain times I post on my social media channels.
.) Join Blogger Groups. I belong to multiple blogger groups and still join them. Examples would be: Reward Style, Style Collective, ShopStyle, etc.
.) Use all 30 Hashtags for an Instagram Post. I have different ones saved in my notes in my phone and when I do a post I can just copy and paste them to the comments.
.) Go to Blogger Events or host one! When I first got invited to a blogger event, I remember telling my husband how excited I was! Now that I have become friends with the bloggers in my city, we have one almost every week!
.) Don't be afraid to reach out to other bloggers to ask questions. I do this all the time! And it's perfect because we can all help each other out. Most of the time whoever you ask is going to have a question in return too.
.) Tag Companies in your photos on social media. This gives you a much better chance of being reposted (which will get you seen more!) :)
.) Reach out to companies to collaborate! Almost every company has a contact or email on their website and if they don't, check LinkedIn or Google. If you think your following is too small or you are afraid, think about what's the worst thing that could happen? They tell you no? Guess what, now you have their contact so that you can follow up with them in a few months when you have grown.
.) Know your worth. What do I mean by this? After a year and a half of blogging I have learned that we (bloggers) get taken advantage of A LOT. Don't be afraid to say no. Even if you don't have a huge following, don't feel like you have to say yes to every company that reaches out to you. And don't be afraid to ask for compensation for the companies that you do want to work with.
